Specialty Saws
There are other specialty saws like the one used for masonry, for tiles, miters, scrolls and bands. Band saws consist of different parts. There is the cutting edge, which is a continuous band of steel with a serrated edge. The main machine which operates the blade is where the operator feeds the work piece on. This type of saw is also useful in cutting curves.
The miter saw is also specialized. The first model that came out needs manual operation in order to work. There is the electric variety now that makes it easier to handle. It has replaceable blades suspended on rollers. A metal guide is also present, making this saw perfect for making accurate miter cuts and cross cuts.
It is more commonly used in big construction jobs requiring many non-linear cuts. Angular cuts are easily achieved. A dust bag attached comes in handy to collect saw dust instead of falling off from floors.
